For the sake of simplicity we re going to make a one story house with a square footprint.

The house was built during the fall of 2011. The entire sculpture consists of the house cantilevered at an angle from the corner of jacobs hall also known as ebu 1 surrounded by a roof garden. A lush roof garden of vines flowers and vegetables frequented by birds and bees is a small gathering place with panoramic views of the campus and beyond. Starting at about 11 30 a m the fallen star house will be raised 100 feet in the air and attached to the seventh floor roof of jacobs hall engineering building unit 1 cantilevered at an angle from a corner.

Upon entering the house it becomes apparent that the floor and the house itself are at different angles causing a sense of dislocation some would say vertigo. The collection created in 1981 is designed to enrich the cultural intellectual and scholarly life of the campus and community.
