Vinyl Cut Through

If you ve just replaced your blade and are having this problem you probably have the wrong blade.

You may need to increase the pressure settings 2 3 times by increments of 2 4 to see a change in the cut result. When you start cutting select the default material that is closest to the material you are using. Place vinyl liner side down onto lightgrip mat. When cutting adhesive vinyl or heat transfer vinyl a kiss cut is used to cut the vinyl but leave the carrier sheet or backing intact.

Open the manage custom materials page through the account menu and increase the pressure for your material setting by 2 4 then perform a test cut. If your cricut cuts through the backing there are usually one of two possible issues. There are times though that it might cut too deep cutting through the paper behind the vinyl or too shallow not cutting all the way through the material in some or all places. This is a really great place to start.
